John Lomberg has worked in the financial services industry for the last 25 years, occupying various senior and executive roles at Old Mutual, Sanlam, Metropolitan and Santam.
He is currently the director for Market and Business Development for ROTOCON. His role is to grow ROTOCON’s footprint in new markets in South Africa, East and West Africa. John is also responsible for positioning ROTOCON as a relevant and responsible corporate citizen in relation to all key stakeholders in South Africa.
John’s wide-ranging expertise includes business strategy development, sales management, and leadership development. He serves on various boards and forums within the business sector in Southern Africa.
Simon Morilly
Simon worked at major corporates, including Old Mutual and Santam, mainly in project management and change facilitation. His most recent employment at Santam, saw him playing a pioneering role in working with municipalities to improve service delivery, particularly in the disaster management space. Simon is interested in complexity theory and systems thinking and combines this with a strong drive to successfully implement projects. This he has achieved especially in working across sectors at the private-public sector interface.
Simon holds an MComm degree and is currently reading for a Ph.D. at the University of Free State, planning to complete it in 2023. He has held Board positions at various NPOs and brings a strong social justice element to his work
Tasneem Khan
Tasneem was employed as an Assistant Director in the Risk Reduction Planning Directorate at the Provincial Disaster Management Centre (PDMC). Prior to working at the PDMC, Tasneem was employed at Aurecon as a Junior Risk and Resilience Management Consultant specialising in disaster risk management.
Tasneem has gained valuable experience in both the public and private sector. She has experience in Disaster Risk and Vulnerability Assessments, Disaster Management Plans i.e., Drought and Floods, Post disaster Sector Plans.
Tasneem holds B.A Honours degree in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. Her focus was on environmental management and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). She also holds a B.A degree in Geography and Environmental Studies and Psychology, which was also obtained from the University of the Western Cape in South Africa.
